The word perfect is a strong one, Webster’s defines it as “having all the desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as possible to be.”  Service is defined as “the action of helping or doing work for someone.”  Think about that for a moment, the meaning of the phrase “perfect service”, it is a statement not to be made lightly.   To be able to perfectly accommodate someone, and in fact many someone’s, is no mean feat.  Service in and of itself is a difficult thing as people are individuals, their wants, needs and desires vary significantly and can be difficult to anticipate.  At All Star Limousine we strive for truly perfect service whether it be for your corporate travel needs or your wedding day, we have the facility, the staff and the ability to perform perfect service.

Skills Every Manager Should Have


 

 

Every organization and business is different.  Every company will emphasize the importance of certain characteristics and traits in their management teams, but there are several skills that are universally necessary for any good leader.  These are skills that are, almost without exception, absolutely mandatory for any good manager or boss.

 

Charisma.  Every manger should be able to influence and motivate those below them.  If not by words then by example, a manager needs to ensure that his employees are doing the work that needs to be done. If a manager cannot motivate the workers production will never be what it should be.  Typically this calls for a “lead by example type scenario” show through doing.  Your people will respect you all the more seeing you do what you ask them to do; it will also show them you do not think you are too important for a particular task.

 

Emotional Intelligence.  Emotional intelligence, or EQ, is a term that is relatively young by psychological standards but it basically means having empathy.  The soft side of management is never one to be underestimated; a good manager must be able to understand the perspective of those he is managing.  

 

Communication.  A leader must be able to explain his or her position or the position of the company he represents.  He must be able to properly communicate.  This removes doubt from the workplace and in the public’s eye; it will portray your organization as an honest one and will relay to people exactly what you are all about.  Good communication will also help your company grow, it will convey properly to others the vision and goals of the business.  Everyone working for with and around you, as well as those who purchase your product or use your service, will understand your company and help it on its journey to success.

 

Passion.  A manager should have compassion he should truly believe in what he represents and the company he is responsible for.   Management is not something that can be done half-heartedly or without decisiveness, it must be something that is done to the best of your ability 24/7/365 and executed with out doubt.  Your passion and conviction will be relayed onto those that you service and to those that work for you.

 

Ultimately there are many skills that managers need to possess and of course most of these are industry specific.  There are several that are universally required.  The afore mentioned are absolutely necessary for a manger to be successful at his job; charisma will help motivate the workers, EQ will help a leader better understand those he is responsible for, communication will help on al levels and passion will fuel the engine.  Master these skills and enjoy your success.

Reputation

Reputation


 

 

Respect and reputation are two different but very related things.  Both are things earned not given and both are easy to lose but hard to gain.  Both of these things are gained primarily through actions, people respect deeds not words and many are cautious of those that would seek to build false reputations.  Respect is something that many value and many strive to attain weather it be respect from your boss, your co-workers, your friends and family, or your employees.  Being respected will build you that reputation and once established consistency in words and actions will determine weather you keep it or not.

 

All Star Limousine has been in business 31 years and has a near flawless reputation.  In the service industry, especially the executive car service industry, this is no easy task.  We have earned the reputation for perfect service through years of dedication, hard work and refinement.  We believe in what we do and the customer always comes first, at All Star everyone is a VIP.  Ultimately it comes down to keeping your word and doing what you promise, executing the service to the very best of your ability, and exceeding expectations.   This is what builds a reputation, this is what earns you respect.

SEO Do's and Don'ts

First it is important to establish that I do not proclaim to be an expert on either of the subjects.   This may beg the question, well then why right about them.  I say to you that one does not need to be an expert to understand the intricacies of certain systems they simply must pay attention and garner their information from many sources.  In the case of SEO it is more a matter of keeping up on the latest trends and specifically reading about all of Google’s latest updates.  Social media is similar in that watching the trends and the current interest of users, along with staying on top of any updates is what will allow one to be successful thru the use of any social media platform.

 

SEO, or search engine optimization, is the art of optimizing ones web age or site so that it ranks high when a user searches using a particular key word or phrase.  SEO has become more and more important to businesses as the years go by because more and more potential customers turn to the Internet as their primary source of information.  SEO parameters and tactics change often so as to make sure that the most relevant information is found when using the right key words.  This, as you can imagine, is not simple feat.  Ranking high means more money for the company, and many businesses are wiling to do whatever it takes to get their names to the top of those searches.  Now this doesn’t mean that those companies are the best out their, or that they have the best product, or most relevant information, and that is why Google and the other top engines are constantly changing their parameters and algorithms in an effort to keep the Internet as orderly and honest as possible.

 

Some of the things that worked in years past for SEO experts no longer work today and in some case will actually have a negative impact on a sites SEO ranking.  Things like spamming link backs to the site.  Posting links back to the website from the comments section of another page will now negatively impact rankings where as in years past the more links you had to your site the better.  Over doing it on key word density will also now negatively effect a sites ranking where before the more times you had a word on a page the better the ranking became.  Many other tactics that years ago were what was done are now being considered “Black Hat SEO” tactics and users of such will be punished accordingly.  A good rule of thumb for any company looking to optimize their web presence is keep in relevant and fresh, update often and put good quality information on the site.  No one has a crystal ball and can see what the next update from Google will mean but it is easy to see what they are ultimately going for and that is clean, concise and organized information that is relevant and informative and corresponds to the keywords or phrases used.
