A family owned and operated Long Island vineyard founded by Sam Rubin and run by his son Richard. Sam was born in New York City with a passion for agriculture. He began to follow his passion to Vermont and into New York State after working as a driver delivering New York City newspapers for many years. He started out giving away his produce to people he cared about in the area and can still be seen in the vineyards working today.
Baiting Hollow also maintains a horse rescue sanctuary on their grounds since 2007 with 'horse rescue wines' dedicated to supporting the sanctuary. The sanctuary houses former race horses whose lineages trace back to Secretariat, or the great Man O'War and even beautiful Arabians. All these horses were going to perish but were saved by the kindness of Baiting Hollow Vineyard, please support their effort. Their list of fine wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rosé, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and many delicate blends.
