Happy New Year!


 

 

All Star Limousine wants to wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2014!  Remember we are always here for you so please don’t drink and drive.  A quick look back at 2013 shows so much! What an incredible and eventful year for All Star Limousine!

 

In 2013 All Star Limousine purchased its second official location in Franklin Square, we are growing!  All Star Limousine is set to break ground in Franklin Square sometime in late march if all goes according to plan, this tremendous move should allow us to nearly double our fleet!   This past year saw many new additions to the All Star fleet including several 31 passenger shuttles as well as our first 37 passenger shuttle all built by Gretch.  We also bought our second 1933 Presidential Packard; it is a vehicle of true beauty.  The All Star family has also grown with a few new additions to our staff, welcome to the team everyone!  Unfortunately we also had to say goodbye to some of our closest friends, you will be missed.

 

An amazing and eventful year All Star Limousine is looking ahead towards many many more.  We hope the success continues and we wish you and yours only the best.  Happy New Year From All Star Limousine.

Measuring Sales (Driving Results)


 

 

Sometimes it can be difficult to measure results or to track the sales of a company.  When a company or business is not doing well this can be very important because a change is needed and without accurate records and tracking it can be hard to identify the problem.  Even when a business is doing well and profits are increasing tracking your sales driven results is important in regards to fine-tuning your process and refining the methods used to increase profitability.  How can this be done?  Do I need to have every one of my sales people bother their customers with some type of survey?  Well that is one way to do it but it is not the only way.

 

When a company is failing and the margins are tight, or even worse when a corporation is running in the red a change is vital or the business will fold.  One of the best ways to increase profits is to increase sales (makes sense right).   This is most simply done by measuring sales, finding what is working and what is not working.  A good way to do this is to implement a CRM or Customer Relationship Manager.  Mostly these come in the form of various pieces of software designed to create a user-friendly database with the intentions of tracking sales, customer service and all manner of information.    Having a CRM can be invaluable to a company and installing one sooner rather then later can save you a lot of money.

 

Even when a company is flourishing it never hurts to know how you got there.  Tracking results, recoding and storing data and then interpreting said data is almost as important as making the actual sale (after all the money is great but if you cant duplicate your efforts its technically nothing more then a fluke).   When a business is operating at max potential it is much easier to pull resources away from gaining business and allocate them to customer service or the quantification of data and in truth there is probably no better time to do so.

 

Ultimately no matter what the state of the operation measuring sales and driving results is an important aspect of any business.  For those that are flourishing it is important to understand how you got there, for those that are floundering the problems must be identified and addressed immediately.  A CRM is a great tool but there are many methods available for the quantification of sales data and the analysis of such.  Neglect this aspect of your business at your own risk.

The Art of Negotiation

 


 

The art of negotiation is a topic speculated upon by many and written about by more.   The act of trying to convince someone else to do something that you want when they may or may not be thinking along those lines is a skill desired by many and possessed by very few.  The art of negotiation is, at its very core, a look into the psychology of man, how to manipulate the mind of another so they see things your way.  I have been on both sides of the table and I would like to think that I have learned a fair amount about negotiation and the psychology of my fellow man.  Ultimately negotiation comes down to only a few things, engage and then play on motivations, in other words get someone’s attention and then find out what they want or what makes them tick. 

 

First you must attract your counterpart’s attention.  People often have their own things going on and may not be aware of your needs or desires, your job is to lure them into the conversation or at least get them interested.   Next you want to control the conversation, one of the easiest ways to control a conversation is to ask a question that you know the answer to, or ask questions that the other will not say no to.  When posing a question a good working knowledge of psychology and knowing what motivates the other is invaluable when attempting to control the flow of a dialogue.   Finally you must yourself be engaging in order to engage, you need to be interested or excited as this will help invoke that emotion in the other.

 

There are only a very few things that truly motivate people believe it or not.   Fear, desire or love, and greed, most wants can be traced back to these three motives.  This may make the human race seem shallow or base but in reality it is the truth.  Finding what someone desires or what they are afraid of is the key.  Once that knowledge has been gained follow the steps outlined above and you will be well on your way to mastering the art of negotiation.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas


 

 

Christmas is a time of joy and a time for giving.  All Star Limousine wants to thank all of its employees, its customers and the executives who make our company possible.  We are a family at All Star and we have a special and unique work environment.  We all care about one another and we all care about our company.   This makes Christmas time even more special as the feelings of happiness and fellowship are all the more pronounced.

 

This unique environment shows in our service and our quality.  It only stands to reason that happy employees make happy clients.  This is a wonderful side effect and it certainly contributes to the success we are very grateful for. 

 

Sometimes things can get a little crazy around the holiday season, please be careful and remember what it, really all about.  Be good to your fellow man and try to keep the spirit of the season in your hearts.  Merry Christmas everyone from All Star Limousine!
