Toys for Tots
In 1995 the Secretary of Defense approve Toys for Tots as an official activity of the U.S. Marine Corps and an official mission of the Marine Corps reserve. The foundation was created to help organize the Marines mission to collect and donate toys for children. The organization satisfies the needs of the United States Marine Corps in so far as organizing the endeavors and supplement the collections already engaged in by the Marine Corps. It also allows the corporation to enter into contracts with other organizations and to allow charitable deductions for businesses kind enough to donate time, money or services.
Toys for Tots is a truly noble cause and one that sees much emphasis during the holiday season. Relatively new by charity standards Toys for Tots has seen many prestigious awards and much recognition over the years, to date the organization has donated over 469 million toys to over 216 million less fortunate children. It is very simple to find a local chapter or to have a box placed in your place of business. All Star Limousine has been donating for several years and Toys for Tots is one of our favorite charities.
So this year when you’re out shopping for gifts to place under the tree don’t forget about those less fortunate.
