Meet Francesa from Dazzling Affairs, Francesa is an accomplished planner with over 15 years of experience orchestrating events for the NBA, NFL, and Pepsico to name a few! Each client and wedding is unique, what would be your favorite "extra" that you planned for a wedding? The WOW factor!  Every event needs a “Wow” factor –whether it be the dining room, the lighting, the décor, the centerpieces, the acrobats hanging from the ceiling serving the guests upside down, the red carpet lady as you enter into the room, the living trees serving the guests their desserts!

If you had to give only ONE tip to Brides and Grooms when planning their weddings, what would it be? I would probably tell them not to lose sight of what’s important…Make a list of priorities, what they are looking to accomplish for their big day and don’t look track of it. It’s very easy to get lost in the “Awww” and the “Wow” of the moment, but we must always be aware of a client's budget.

Is there one purchase that you would urge a Bride and Groom to splurge on if so, what would it be? Entertainment! Good entertainment can make event that much better. A band needs to interact with the group, get them hyped up, happy and dancing. A good DJ needs to know how to read the crowd as to what types of music is being enjoyed by the guests.  At the end of the night, if the entertainment was good and the guests enjoyed themselves, the party was a success.

What was the most outrageous or fun request you received from a client? I have received so many different requests in so many years of planning that it's hard to say which one was the most outrageous. But I did have a bride and groom wanting to exchange wedding vows while swinging from trees a few years ago.

What was the motivating factor that drove you to launching a wedding and event planning company? Having been in the wedding industry for over 15 years as a maître-d, director of operations, banquet manager, I decided eight years ago that it was time to start my own business. I happen to love planning – weddings, birthday parties, mitzvahs, etc… I love to see the look on my client’s faces when they walk into their venue and see what was put together with their vision in mind I love to see the happiness that an event brings to everyone’s faces. And most of all, I love to see my clients happy and at the end of the night they are so thankful for everything that was done.
