The Wedding Rescue Team

Earlier this year All Star Limousine partnered with Silver Fox Video Chateau La Mer and several other vendors within the Long Island Wedding community to create the Wedding Rescue Team.  The purpose of this group of humanitarians was to take one couple that had been affected by the super storm Hurricane Sandy and despite their devastating loss still provide them with the wedding of their dreams.  Due to the overwhelming and widespread damage of Hurricane Sandy and the generosity of the members of the Wedding Rescue Team we were able to provide full wedding services for not only one lucky couple but three.

This was not something thrown together nor was it a cheap charity.  These couples received it all, combined the packages totaled near 50,000 and included limousine transportation from All Star Limousine, videography from Silverfox Studios, even catering hall rental from Chateau La Mer.  It was truly an exercise of generosity on the part of these great companies.  This is a prime example of people coming together to do something good to do something noble. 

The first of the lucky couples is due to be wed this coming august and we could not be happier for them.  Business is one thing, we all go to work to make money so we can pay our bills and provide for out loved ones, but when, through your work, you are able to do something wonderful for someone who has lost so much it makes you realize what its all really about.   These companies did not do this for the exposure they did not do this for any sort of special recognition they did this because they were in a position to do something right.  

Mother nature unleashed her furry in the form of Hurricane Sandy and there were millions affected, some of these unfortunate souls lost everything.  Some are still not able to return to their homes or businesses and some may never be able to.  You hear terrible stories about insurance companies and the state not properly compensating those affected and even worse you hear about these “charitable” organizations collecting donations for those affected only to have these shadow organizations disappear overnight.   We consider our selves fortunate to be in a position to really promote benevolence, to really help those who lost get something back.  We are proud to help facilitate the realization of these couple’s dreams.

What It Takes to Provide True Executive Car Service

#5 New York, New York

The Big Apple is the cultural and financial hub of some would say the world.  There is no city on earth that is comparable to the city that never sleeps.  The epitome of luxury and service; the venues, restaurants and hotels of NYC are second to none.   Legendary boulevards and storefronts populate the massive NYC region.  This metropolis is true to its name in that at all hours there exists a contagious energy that pulsates forth from the clubs, bars and restaurants some of which don’t close till the late morning.  Everywhere you look and turn you will find something worth seeing but the more traditional tourist attractions include Ellis Island's Statue of Liberty and the Empire state building.

#4 Paris, France

The City of Light is also the world capital for romance and fashion.  This is the city that invented style and it shows in its resident’s attention to current fashion and the emphasis on beauty and art.  So much rich history and aristocratic elegance exists in France’s City of Light that you will be hard pressed not to stumble upon a wondrous attraction.  A must see is the internationally famous Louvre, one of the greatest and most prestigious museums in the world.  You may also want to check out the Eiffel Tower and Paris’s Latin quarter.

Bangkok Thailand is the first Asian city to top this years Global Destination Cities Index.  There are several reasons this incredible city tops the charts as the most visited city worldwide.  Location and accessibility of course play their role, Bangkok is in close proximity to some major commercial hubs like Tokyo and Hong Kong and it had been for a long time and remains one of the major tourists locations for Europeans and Middle Easterners.  Bangkok is unique in that it combines several features that are attractive to vacationers.  The city of Bangkok itself is vast and lively rivaling some of the other major industrial areas in the region and even globally, nightclubs and fabulous restaurants remain open all hours and cater to every need and want imaginable.   The surreal beaches of surrounding Thailand are as nice as any Caribbean paradise and in some cases surpass these more traditional tropical paradises.  Locals such as Ko Chang Island are alive with brilliant coral reefs and rainforests as well as white sand beaches and turquoise waters.  The archipelago of Ko Phi Phi is paradise on earth and was the location where the movie “The Beach” was filmed (a movie depicting an earthly utopia).  In addition to wild nightlife and gorgeous tropical beaches rich with colorful flora and fauna Bangkok and surrounding Thailand is also an old land filled with ruins and ancient palaces such as Ayuthaya a series of ruins that now form the Ayuthaya Historical Park. Another famous historic site is the Grand Palace, formally the residence of several of Thailand’s Kings the Grand Palace represents a wide range of architectural styles and is home to the legendary Emerald Buddha one of the oldest and most famous statues of Buddha in the world.

#10 Nassau, Bahamas

#9 Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Is a recent contender for the worlds top vacation spots.  Its comparatively low cost and tropical climate make it a desirable local for seekers of paradise.  Popular attractions include Punta Cana’s most popular beach, Bavaro Beach, is stunning and is home to an array of popular restaurants and venues.  Also you will want to visit Indigenous Eyes a Jungle park located inland and populated by gorgeous waterfalls and inviting lagoons.

#8 Barcelona Spain

Antoni Gaudi is the man responsible for the incredible and fanciful architecture that comprises the winding streets and towering minarets of beautiful Barcelona.  This City has become especially popular with the younger generations.  Parc Guell is Barcelona’s version of central park and is a verdant wonderland.  Wondrous stone monuments and mythical sculptures dot the sprawling green landscape that spans over 37 acres.  The Sagrada Familia, a stunning cathedral, is a must see with its simultaneously Gothic and fanciful architecture.

#7 Montego Bay, Jamaica

Jamaica is the relaxation capital of the world.  Most visitors to the all-inclusive resorts on Jamaica’s Montego Bay are so accommodating that you will not have to travel off the grounds to fulfill your every indulgence.  If however you do decide to venture into the island then you will want to check out Dunn's River Falls a 180 foot waterfall located in Jamaica’s rainforests and the incredible Rose Hall Great House a sprawling 18^th century Georgian Mansion rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a murdered plantation owner

#6 Rome, Italy

Rome calls loudly to any lover of ancient history.  Nowhere else can such impressive and ancient structures be witnessed, The Colosseum, The Pantheon and The ancient Roman Forum are the highlights of these monumental ruins.  Rome also boasts all the trappings of any modern metropolis and is the seat of Vatican City and the Holy Roman Empire.  Within Vatican City be sure to visit Michelangelo’s famous masterpiece the Sistine Chapel.
