The Results of a Great Office Culture


 

 

Everyone wants to have a job where they wake up and don’t dread heading into the office.  It is truly a wonderful thing when you can actually enjoy going to work and to really care about the people you work with and for.  Having a positive and encouraging work atmosphere, in addition to building morale, can have some amazing side effects.  Some examples are creative thinking, more emphasis on recruitment and retention of employees and the best brand ambassadors a company could hope for.

 

When you have a positive and good office culture people want to work there, they genuinely care about the company.  This thought process encourages employees to think often about how to improve the company.  This type of environment also gives them the impression that it’s ok to express their thoughts and ideas and in fact that it is welcome (as well it should be).  The best business growth comes from throwing it all into the pot and letting everyone’s ideas be heard.  You never know who will come up with the next big innovation, people’s perspectives differ tremendously and some have a way of looking at things in a way that would never be expected.

 

Working at a fun place where people actually and genuinely care about one another will build you the best (and cheapest) gorilla marketing team imaginable.  Your own employees will speak highly about their place of business to their friend’s and family and across their networking and social media platforms.  They will spread the word about what a great place they work at and it will give the impression that they also offer a great service or product without even saying that they do or don’t.  It will also help tremendously with branding and product recognition.

 

When recruiting and hiring those that are brought in will be scrutinized more carefully.  They will be judged by not only their performance capacity but for their ability to be part of the team or family.  This may not seem important when it comes to the ability to get the job done but there is nothing more productive then a happy work force, especially one that gels or is really in touch with itself.  When team members pick up the slack of a co-worker who is under the gun or has fallen behind without even being asked to, it is a beautiful thing.  This will help the wheels of the company to turn fluently and continuously with out ever missing a beat.

 

Ultimately a positive office culture will yield tremendous results.  Weather it be branding, optimizing your work force or just getting the most out of your people, creating a nice place to work is paramount to building a successful company.
