World Tourism Day

September 27^th is World Tourism Day.   Since 1980 the United Nations World Tourism Organization has celebrated World Tourism Day.  The purpose of this international event is to raise awareness on the role of tourism within the international community and to demonstrate its impact on the intricate economic, political and cultural values internationally.  Since 1997 a theme and host country is chosen, this year the theme is tourism and water and the host country is Zimbabwe.

The importance of World Tourism Day is not to be under emphasized.  The underlying motivation for this event is too show us that we are all connected and that we all rely on one another, the main focus is awareness.  For us as human beings we need to not look at those across the oceans as different or as belonging to another country, we need to look at them as brothers and sisters we need to look at one another as part of the universal collective as part of one species.  Tourism helps us learn about each other as well as bring much needed revenue to certain parts of the world, the theme (for example water and tourism this year) helps to open the eyes of the world to the plights of our neighbors.

So plan a visit to London or too Zimbabwe, go somewhere you never knew existed, experience the world, its people and all it has to offer.  As different as things are across the globe we are all connected we are all human beings who live, breath eat and love.  This September 27^th celebrate national world tourism day!

All Star Limousine and the United Nations

Traffic in New York City is always crazy.  Drivers are aggressive, the roads are congested and everyone is in a rush.  These variables make it tough to operate an executive car service but a properly equipped one with the right vehicles the right technology and the right staff can make it happen, now factor in a scenario where you have something like the United Nations in town and it’s a whole different ballgame.

For the next two weeks most roads will be inaccessible to cars and trucks and even to those on bicycles.  The roads and routes that become blocked or shut down vary daily based on the UN and its delegates.  The security for this NYC United Nations Assembly is air tight as well it should be, but this means serious gridlock for most of midtown Manhattan.  For the most part if you are looking to get around in NYC for the next couple of weeks either take the subway or use an executive car service like All Star Limousine.  A good executive car service will be fully aware of the all the road closures and alternate routes that are put into place during the UN’s General Assemblies. 

It can cause serious havoc when the UN comes to town so be prepared.  Use mass transit or contract a good executive car service because many of the streets are generally shut down.  With the right equipment, knowledge and proper communication, travel can be arranged and business will continue.  Just be sure you deal with a reputable and experienced company, as the next two weeks can be pure chaos.

An All Star Wedding

It’s great when two people find one another.  In today’s day and age it seems that it has become harder and harder to find love or to find that special someone.  That is why when two wonderful people find each other it is a cause for celebration.  This past weekend the Safety and Worldwide Manager of All Star Limousine, Tony Savarese, wed Linda Erdman the love of his life.  They invited their friends and co-workers, their children and family and were married this past Saturday Sept. 21^st.

Part of what makes the limousine industry so worthwhile is putting a smile on people’s faces.  You find this in lots of service industries but for us we are privileged to experience individuals enjoying the most important days of their lives.   The vehicles never fail to disappoint and the wedding chauffer’s we employ are consummate professionals, they never let us down. 

When you can combine that service and accommodate a member of the team its incredible.  This weekend a manager of All Star Limousine married his true love and All Star was privileged and honored to be a part of this most momentous occasion both as guest, as friends and as a provider of service.  Thank you Tony and Linda we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness you deserve nothing less!
