Traveling can be stressful. So often we travel on vacation with the intention of relaxing but it is rare that we actually get to do so until we are unpacking in our hotel room. This is especially true in a city like New York where we face stress around every corner. Why not start the vacation at your doorstep? While some of you are laughing and some are thinking to themselves “impossible”, I promise you it can be done. The key lies in proper planning, and making the arrangements with the right organizations.
To start with, book your flight early, plan your vacation well in advance. If you are really looking to save money look to travel during an off peak time, airlines are often desperate to fill seats on scheduled flights during certain times of year. Fly on a reputable airline, one that is known either for their perks or their service. This will ensure you a nice flight with no surprises.
The next key is booking your car service. Hiring an executive car service to take you to the airport is not only luxurious but it can actually save you money. If you are traveling for more then a week it is often cheaper to hire a car to pick you up and drop you off then it is to park at one of New York’s major Hubs. The most important thing here is to make sure the car service is reliable, you don’t need to add more street to you trip wondering if the car is going to be on time and if your are going to make your flight or not. As long as the company is reputable your vacation will start at your doorstep, your chauffeur will load your bags into the sedan or limousine and relieve you of the stress of driving through the traffic choked streets of NYC and the surrounding suburbs. They will further eliminate the time and aggravation of parking your car in the terminal lot and finding a way to get to your gate. They will drop you off right at the curb so that you may walk right into the terminal and begin to board.
Book a quality hotel. Many of us will spend at least 30% of our vacation time in and around the hotel we book so make sure it is at least a decent one. If you like to swim make sure they have a nice pool, if you enjoy a quality mattress and bedding make sure you check the thread count on the sheets, if golf is your priority make sure they have access to a decent course. The hotel is the place you are living while visiting the local of your choosing so make sure you do your homework.
