Long Island vineyards making waves

The first Long Island vineyard was established on the North Fork in 1973. As New York State's newest wine region containing three American Viticultural Areas, we've quickly received international attention and grown our industry to incorporate thousands of terroir acres on the East End of LI. With our vintners producing about half a million case's of wine each year and a very well received Long Island Vodka. Long Island wine can be found on the menu at top level New York City restaurants and throughout the east coast.
Every year over a million bon vivant's travel to a Long Island vineyard. LI's sandy glacial soil, maritime climate and 220 day season make for superb wining conditions that are similar to Bordeaux, France and make for delicious Long Island wine. We primarily cultivate Europe’s noble vinifera grapes, often used to create varietals such as Merlot, Cabernet sauvignon, Cabernet franc and Chardonnay.
