Top Ten International Luxury Travel Destinations - Part 1

Posted On: July 31, 2013

#1 New York City the city that never sleeps.  New York City is the indisputable financial and cultural hub of the world.  Every hour of the day and night finds this city alive and pulsating with a contagious energy.  Legendary stores and boulevards and some of the most prestigious restaurants and museums in the world are only part of the big apple’s allure.  This is the number one vacation spot for the international elite and it is no wonder why.  Nowhere else on the planet is there a city quite like NYC.

#2 Paris, The City of Light or as the Parisians say, La Ville-Lumière, is the romance capital of the world.  A historical and artistic icon there is no escaping gorgeous museums and breathtaking monuments.  With attractions like The Louvre and The Eiffel Tower the capital of France does not fail to enchant.  Be prepared to dress well though because in the city that invented fashion you won’t want to be caught in last year’s styles.

#3 London is touted as the cradle of the English Speaking civilization.  This regal metropolis combines the charm of the age of antiquity with the fast paced and high-end feel of a modern day city.  In the city that invented butler service their accommodations and hotel options are second to none with such distinguished grand hotels as The Langham and The Corinthia.  A city that has been on the cutting edge of modernization for centuries there is also no shortage of impressive tourist attractions such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and The Tower of London.

#4 Italy, the entirety of Italy takes up our number four spot.  With several major tourist cities located in beautiful Italy the country is practically inundated with culture and history.  Venice with its waterway streets and gondola rides, Rome with the Coliseum, the Pantheon and the Forum.  Capri is one of the most beautiful islands in the world and you don't want to forget about Vatican city and the Sistine Chapel.  The whole country is just incredible.

#5 Las Vegas is the gambling capital of the world.  Las Vegas has, without question, the biggest and best casinos anywhere.  Dazzling and brilliant Vegas is an unforgettable sight.  The lights and the shows attract all manner of celebrities, famous chefs, and world-renowned talent.  The venues are over the top and spectacularly glamorous.  Because this city is really one gigantic tourist attraction the service and VIP treatment are arguably un-paralleled.

Top Ten International Luxury Travel Destiations - Part 2

#6 French Polynesia or Tahiti is the closest we will ever get to heaven on earth.  The quintessential version of paradise with stunning white sand beaches and crystal blue water the shores of French Polynesia are picturesque and unforgettable.  Unfortunately the high price point for vacationing in Tahiti will make it inaccessible to most.  For those whose budget allows, this magical haven punctuated with “overwater bungalows” and turquoise lagoons is the standard for tropical paradise.

#7 The Private Caribbean is a series of tropical islands claimed by various nations.  St. Barthelemy (or St. Barts) is a center for the international fashion crowd and the fabulously wealthy.  The Dutch/French St. Martin boasts family friendly resorts.  St. Lucia combines the white sand beaches with a stunning variety of flora and fauna found in few other places around the world.  And the Dominican Republic is an up and coming hot spot for your less then traditional tourists.

#8 China is a dominating world power.  This enterprising nation has used the ingenuity and creativity of its people combined with the natural beauty of its varied landscape to create a luxury travel industry to rival anywhere else in the world.  With cities like Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing there is no end to the parades of food and shops or breathtaking resorts and venues.

#9 Thailand is the premiere tourism hub of Southeast Asia.  Nowhere else in the world can you find such a blend of luxury, tradition and natural beauty.  Major industrial centers like Bangkok are littered with clubs and tourist attractions while internationally famous beaches and tropical havens like Koh Samui and Phulay Bay are minuets away.  Famous temples and ancient monuments dot the landscape while Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton resorts are around the corner.

#10 Africa.  Every man deep down inside wants to go on Safari in Africa.  The massive continent is home to wildlife that exists nowhere else.  Creatures that have roamed the land for thousands of years and who are still the masters of their territory call the dark continent their home.  Modern amenities and technologies have made the reality of an African Safari an attainable dream for more then just the die-hard bushman or hunting enthusiast.

Diversified (We Do It All And We Do It Well)

Diversified (We Do It All And We Do It Well)

All Star Limousine has been in business for over 30 years since 1982.  This company was built from the ground up and grown with care.  All Star Limousine was never intended to be a “fly by night” type operation, this company was founded with the future in mind.  Jim Powers, the owner of All Star Limousine, had worked in the industry for almost a decade prior to branching out on his own.  He had seen the ins and outs of the executive car and limousine industry and he had seen how to do it right and how to do it wrong.  Jim then dedicated himself to the establishment and growth of All Star Limousine.

This company was grown the exact way any executive car service should grow, they developed their service, obtaining the newest vehicles the latest technology and the only the best chauffeurs and office staff available in an effort to be able to offer only premiere service.  Sales and marketing came only after the quality of service was established.

What this has allowed All Star Limousine to do is be the exception in the executive car service industry as well as the limousine industry.  Instead of us focusing on a target market we focused on the company and the actual service itself implementing technology and software that allows us to operate flawlessly (our motto is we are on time every time and the reality is the exact statistic is 99.3% of the time we are on time or early and that data is truly incredible).  So the idea is if we can accommodate a corporate client then we can accommodate a bride to be and vice versa.  The idea is the service, the emphasis is the service, it is not the sale or the image it is in the actual action, which we believe, is exactly where it should be.

Our Omatics GPS and real time flight tracking software allow us to be punctual and efficient when selecting our travel routes and transporting our executive clientele.  Our large 24/7/365 dispatching department helps facilitate last minute time changes and shifts in airline schedules as well as personal schedules.  These same features are used for our wedding transfers, if traffic the day of the wedding is heavy along a certain route then we have the ability to monitor that and instantly reroute the vehicles so no one is late to the church or reception.  Our online reservation feature and live chat software makes it incredibly simple for someone out of the country to book a reservation or a corporate admin to book multiple jobs for their client without picking up a phone, those same features also let a nervous bride ask last minute questions and lets us reassure her instantly.

Yes we specialize in executive car service but we are also the leading provider of wedding limousines in the long island and New York area.  We are versatile but not spread thin, we can do it all and we can do it well.  We are the leading provider of executive car service on the east coast and the premier limousine company of New York and Long Island and for good reason, because we emphasize service and excellence and we are equipped to do so.

Rolls Royce Phantom

The Rolls Royce Phantom

Have you ever seen the Rolls Royce Phantom, not in a picture or on TV but in person?  It is a vehicle that impresses beyond description.  It is the epitome of automotive luxury.  There is no other vehicle on the road that can even be said to be in the same category as the Phantom.   For one, a single Rolls Royce Phantom takes two months to build and is assembled almost completely by hand, there are very few cars out their that can boast such a meticulous and painstaking construction process.  In addition to the hand crafted aspect of this vehicle and the level of comfort and luxury it imparts it is also a high performance automobile outfitted with a 454 hp 12 cylinder engine that can go 0-60 in under 6 seconds.

It takes 60 pairs of hands to design this work of art and every single Phantom made is constructed at the home of Rolls Royce in Goodwood England.  Starting with the construction of the frame the attention to detail is staggering as 5 surface technicians take up to 5 hours sanding and finishing the surface of the vehicle to perfection.   Then comes the signature Rolls Royce pinstripe, or coach line, that is applied by hand with a special squirrel hair brush.  After that the interior design begins.   The entire interior of the vehicle is comprised of hand selected and hand stitched leather, each piece of upholstery is selected by a seamstress and any pieces displaying any manner of imperfection are discarded.   Then the interior is sewn together and signed by the master seamstress with the signature Rolls Royce logo.   Then the wood-grain paneling is build, sanded and finished first by hand and then polished to perfection by man-operated machines.  The interior paneling is glossed to a mirror-like shine and boasts a sheen that is incomparable.

The actual assembly of the engine and marriage of the chassis to the frame is also done in Goodwood and is, of course, done by hand.   Each bolt and part is tested and checked for optimum performance and sustainability.  Once the vehicle is assembled it is put in a high-pressure washer designed to simulate monsoon water and winds and is thoroughly checked for leaks and imperfections.  Finally the engine and actual performance of the vehicle is tested in a simulator designed to emulate various driving conditions.  Then, and only then, after two months of intense craftsmanship the newly created Rolls Royce Phantom is released onto the road, a thing of great beauty built by the hands of dozens of dedicated technicians and professionals.

First Impressions

First Impressions

Have you ever been picked up in an executive car or black car and gotten into a vehicle that was inundated with some foul odor or had rips and tears in the 10 year old cracked leather seats?  Have you even gone to a catering hall or celebratory venue and in the dim lighting everything is fine but upon closer inspection the plaster is cracking, the paints chipping, the furniture’s old and the carpet looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed in months?  How about calling a company and being answered by an annoying machine that puts you on hold for 20 minutes and then finally when your call is received the individual on the other line is rude, tired, and totally unhelpful?  First impressions are lasting and often determine your overall opinion of the business or establishment you are investigating.

For an executive car service or limousine service there are multiple points where your company will make a first impression.  The very first contact is made during that initial phone call, whether it be a price quote or a booking, that in-bound or out-bound sales call needs to be fielded properly and professionally.  If reservations is not on top of their game, or if they are having an off day, that ineptitude or lackadaisical attitude translates even thru the telephone.  It may be the deciding factor when that customer makes the decision to book the ride or not.

The next point of contact, and this is truly where that real first impression is made, is when that executive car service shows up in front of your house.  The proper procedure is that the chauffeur should text or call a few minutes prior to his arrival and then (unless instructed otherwise) call again the moment he arrives.  The chauffeur should then walk to the door and knock or wait so he may assist his passenger with any luggage.  Then he should open the door for the client.  The ride should be smooth, expedient, and without incident.  The climate in the vehicle should be determined according to the customer’s needs and preferences.  The chauffeur should engage in conversation only if prompted by the client and if so engaged he should be friendly, knowledgeable and always professional.

In a high-end service industry that first encounter is pivotal and the people that make that first impression are the face of your business.  Your equipment and the actual service should be immaculate and flawless and your people should be no different.  First impressions are everything and often they are what will make or break any business.
