Three Ways To End Your Wedding With A Bang

Three Ways To End Your Wedding With A Bang

Have you ever gone to a party that you didn’t want to end?  Have you even been on a vacation and on that last day of you began to feel sad?  Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and can quite possibly be the biggest party you ever throw, and so it is only natural that you will want to keep the party going for as long as possible.  Below are three tips that will either prolong the unfortunately inevitable or make the very end of the night as awesome as the beginning.

The old Sparkler Send Off.  These can be very cool if done and coordinated properly.  Having a nice limousine or antique car pick up the bride and groom and have all of your guests give you a nice send off.  This is usually done with either with colored confetti and music or a tunnel of sparklers, these scenarios make for great photo opportunities.  Its important when doing this that is properly timed and coordinated.  In addition make sure you have a nice exit vehicle.  The whole thing is ruined if a pile of junk shows up to whisk you off, or if your guests are not aware of what’s happening or are poorly coordinated.

Have an after reception food truck or special food delivery.  As your guests are leaving having a cool coffee truck or deli truck serving treats to your guests who aren’t exactly ready to call it a night is a great way to keep that party going.   Another idea is to have a bunch of pizzas or fast food delivered at the very of the reception just to make sure your guests have a full belly before they hit the road.

The obvious and most common tactic used to keep the party going is to have another party.  Having an after party at the hotel or at another location post reception is a great way to make sure you squeeze every last ounce of awesome into your big day.  It is usually best to either have this party at the hotel everyone is staying at, or have transportation arranged afterwards to get everyone home safe.

So there you go, three great ways to end your wedding with a bang.  The sparkler send of is a timeless classic and can be gorgeous when coordinated properly.  For those of us who love to eat (and who doesn’t) a late night snack truck or a last minute special delivery is a great way to make sure your guests don’t go home hungry.  And possibly the best way to end your wedding is to not end it at all, and instead have another party right afterwards at a different location!

The Most Reliable Limousine service in New York

The Most Reliable Limousine Service In New York

It sounds simple to pick someone up and take him or her to a destination, in theory it is, in practice not so much.   Many factors and variables effect the execution of ground transportation.  Being in a densely populated area like New York adds another level of difficulty to a transfer.  Consider traffic, flight delays, mechanical error, human error, and weather these are only a few things that need to be accounted for in order for a limousine company or executive car service to be on time for a pick up.  Now once the customer is in the car an entirely new array of potential problems arises.  Communication problems, the style of driving, the route taken, interaction between driver and passenger, and then of course all the afore mentioned issues.

Being a reliable limousine service is not something that is easily done.  In fact the majority of limousine services in New York and on Long Island are not reliable.  They over book, they do not do the necessary maintenance to their vehicles, they do not properly screen or train their drivers, they cut corners everywhere they can in order to maximize profit.  Unfortunately and frighteningly this is the norm, most limousine companies are sub-par and disappoint more often then they impress.  Why is this?  One reason is that it is a poorly regulated industry with very tight margins and there is no universal quality control in place.  So you end up with a lot of smaller operators that employ decent sales people who over promise and under deliver.  If you don’t use them again it doesn’t matter because there is always going to be another wedding or prom. In a place like New York where there are so many people with the ability to afford this type of luxury service there is always another customer just around the corner.

It takes a lot of effort and diligence to be a reliable limousine company in New York.  The proper staff needs to be hired, the proper vehicles need to be bought and maintained.  Fail-safes, back up plans and different quality control methods need to be in place.  Corners cannot be cut, they should not be cut, people are paying a premium price for a premium service, they would have ordered a cab or called Uber if they wanted something cheap.

When done right and approached properly ground transportation is seamless and simple.  The company needs to do things right to be reliable.  In our area it is scary that so many of them fall so short.  The proper steps need to be taken and once they are the luxury transportation that you advertise will be the luxury transportation that you deliver.

Staying Humble

Staying Humble

Humility and respect are the cornerstones of civilized society we are all best served by being decent to one another and understanding our own personal limitations.  No matter the success we achieve, the things we accomplish or the things that we build, it is important to stay humble.  No one, no matter how much money they have how many degrees they have earned or what their experiences have been, knows everything there is to know about everything and most people don’t know everything there is to know about anything.  Staying humble allows us to grow as individuals and as a society, it keeps us curious and careful, it keeps us always trying to be better.

Arrogance and ego are wrecking balls, we all must remain grounded firmly in reality, understanding that most of us really know very little, and that our milestone achievements are only the briefest of moments in the history of our world.   As soon as you think you know everything you become ignorant to all the new information and perspectives that are constantly being introduced and evolving everyday.  The smartest and best of us listen to everything they hear from claimed authorities.  Then those individuals have the ability to process all of that information and make a good decision.

The other issue with arrogance and ignorance is that once you begin to act like you are better then someone else that other person will (usually) stop interacting with you.  For many this may seem like a small loss as you obviously feel like you are better then this individual so the absence of their company is not felt.  But people are surprising and sometimes the lowest amongst us can make the greatest change or achieve the most powerful results.  People change, none of us know what the future holds, and tomorrow the rich can be poor and the poor can be rich.

Ego and pride will always hurt us, they are deceptive attributes that serve solely to erode and segregate.  Stay humble; understanding the reality of not knowing will only help you to expand your world and your personal knowledge.  It will help you and those around you to be better people.  The moment you think you know everything is the moment you stop learning.

Customizing The Sale

Customizing The Sale

With information technology what it is today competition gets fiercer as margins get smaller.  People have more of an ability to find things on their own as opposed to being forced to use a third party or a broker type service and because of this they find them selves with more options.  This is good for the market as inferior products are forced out quicker and it keeps price gouging and poor quality service to a minimum.  It can, however,  be bad for the small business owner or the guy who is just starting out and who may be underfunded.  So how can the little guy compete with the big box stores and the institutions that have been around for decades?  Is there no hope for the small business owner?

The good news is that there is and the solutions, although not exactly simple, are available to all.  The trick is customizing the sale.  Differentiate yourself from the completion by being creative and offering something outside the box that the competition either cannot, or is not, willing to do.   This pertains especially to service orientated businesses or businesses catering to a more high-end clientele, areas where that extra touch or that tiny accommodation means everything.

In conclusion the ability to customize the sale is what will separate you from your competition, even if the competitor is better funded or more experienced.  Giving that little bit extra or being willing to customize the service for a customer makes you and the service you are delivering special.  Never under estimate the power of customizing the sale.

What It Takes To Win The Bride

Now this blog is not going to be about finding your true love, this is about how, as a wedding vendor, you can gain the business of a bride and groom interested in your services.  In the service industry word of mouth is king, you can do all the advertising in the world but if your service or reputation is terrible then it all means nothing.  Brides and grooms demand, and rightfully so, a certain level of perfection, after all they pay a premium and they have enough things to worry about aside from the contracted vendor not doing their job.  How can we as service providers assure the bride and groom that they are in good hands?

Again reputation is tremendous, nowadays with review sites and open forums people can and will do their research on a company prior to contracting with them.  We previously discussed the art of selling or how to sell in today’s world.  Present your information open and honestly to the bride and groom, do not treat them like they are stupid and do not try and trick or manipulate them into a sale.  Have a good product and explain to them their options.  Trust in their ability to make the right decision.

It comes down a lot to presentation, brides and grooms what to have confidence in the vendors they select, they want to feel comfortable with there decisions.  You as a potential vendor need to gain their trust and put their minds at ease.  Be good at what you do and enjoy it, have confidence in your service and work hard to be the best at what you do.  If you do these things it will reflect in your service, your reputation and the way you present yourself and your company.

To win the bride you need to have a good product and you need to be able to present it properly.  Bride and grooms today have many resources that they can use to find out the truth about your company and your competitors.  Be honest and work hard to be the best at what you do, if you do these things you will have more brides and grooms then you know what to do with.
