Good Business

We talk a lot about business on here and we thought it time to take a few moments to sum up.  Sifting and reading thru hundreds of pages of archived material can be tedious and overwhelming.  What we wish to express to those of you in the business world can be summed up in a few sentences that below will be elaborated on, these are; Do the right thing and be smart about your decisions and actions.

Many of us (unfortunately not all) have a conscious, an internal compass that lets us know when we are headed in the right direction and when we are headed in the wrong one.  This holds especially true when it comes to human interactions.  So when conducting business do the right thing, listen to your heart and your conscious.

Make no mistake we are not saying to be overly emotional, or to sacrifice good judgment for heightened morals, but when the opportunity presents itself do the right thing.  Your heart will tell you what that is and your mind will tell you if it makes sense.  That brings us to the next part of our message; exercise your mind.  Be smart.  A lot can be accomplished with intelligence and integrity.  Your mind will balance your heart when it comes to making the harder decisions.  If you originate from a place of goodness the positive energy you create will reward you in the short and the long term.

Some may say after reading this that they do not believe in energy, or some universal karmic wheel and I will tell you if you do not want to think about it as a karmic ROI think of it like this, if you do the right thing by most people it will stay with them for years to come especially if the individual was aware that an easier and harsher decisions could have been made.  Networking is a big part of business and you never know who will end up where and when you might meet again.

What must be understood by those that choose to adopt this practice is that it will not be easy for you pioneers.  If everyone doing business today adopted this philosophy all at once the world would be a better more productive place there is absolutely no doubt.  This is unfortunately a very unrealistic scenario, and what will more likely happen is that a few will read these words and choose to take action and the many will see these few as weak and attempt to prey on them and take advantage.   This is when you must truly have heart and to truly have strength for eventually you will persevere and the petty the greedy and the cruel will break upon you like a wave breaking upon the stony shore.  Eventually the water will recede but the rock will remain unchanged.

Be the rock, be strong, be smart and most of all be good.  Emotionally, physically, financially and spiritually you will benefit most recognizably in the long term but also in many cases the benefits will be immediate and obvious.  It will not be easy but the best things in this life never are.

The Journey (The Conclusion)

The Journey (The Conclusion)

His daughter’s day came and John was more nervous then he had been the day of his wedding.  Of course who showed up as the driver but his old friend.  At the sight of his white haired companion all of John’s anxieties were instantly relieved.  It wasn’t that he did not trust any of the other men or women who may have picked up his little one, its that he knew he could trust this man, this man was like family.  It was so considerate of the team at All Star to send his friend, he did not like to request the man to be his driver as their friendship had grown too great for that.  With tears in his eyes John sent his daughter off in the gorgeous stretch Escalade, and smiling, he went back inside to sit with his wife and enjoy a quite evening knowing that his baby girl would be taken care of almost as well as if he was there himself.

The night went perfectly as John knew it would.  At one point he had felt a sense of paranoia about his little one, as most parents do, and he texted the driver as well as his daughter.  Even though his daughter did not return the text (she was after all in the middle of one of the most important nights of her life) the driver did immediately, informing John that all was well.

John’s daughter’s senior prom was a little easier to deal with after their sweet sixteen experience.  This time John did request that his friend chauffeur his little one, and of course the gentleman was happy to oblige.  The veteran chauffeur gave John some bad news when he retuned them home the next morning. Nothing regarding the events of the evening, but he informed John that this would be his last year at All Star, as he was retiring and heading down south.  John was disheartened to hear the news but happy for his old friend.  He would miss the man as a driver but more so as a friend once he moved so very far away.

Later, when reflecting on his sadness, John came to a realization.  He knew he would keep in touch with his old friend and he knew his old friend would keep in touch with him.  The man had been there for John during the most incredible moments of his life.  At almost every major milestone his old friend had been there with a smile.  They had formed a special and unique bond that would not be broken by time or by miles, and John found himself no longer being sad but now looking forward to visiting his friend in the sunny south.

Time passed and All Star Limousine grew and grew.  The company was dynamic and changed accordingly with the times, implementing new technology and the best equipment and vehicles as they became available.  They opened new locations and grew their client base, but no matter how big they became they still treated each and every customer like family.  It was inherent in the culture of All Star Limousine and it was one of their founding principals, the employees the clients everyone was a part of the All Star family.  And like any family you only want the best for one another.  That was the mentality that was bred at All Star Limousine, and it shows in their people, their vehicles, their clients and their service.

The Journey Part VI

At this point John used All Star as a selling point with some of his clients promising them top shelf transportation whenever it was required.  John went so far as to accompany some of his bigger clients on site visits to All Star Limousine, showing them the facility and telling stories of his personal experience with the transportation company.

John and his family grew along side All Star Limousine and All Star Limousine grew along side John and his family.   Soon it was their young daughters sweet sixteen, john was nervous about his baby girl growing up but when it came time for his daughters big day he put his trust in his favorite limousine company.  Even though All Star Limousine was primarily an international executive car service and a wedding transportation company it did not stop them from servicing their loyal clients daughter on that special day.

John was further relieved when he saw all the paperwork that had to be filled out and all the steps and precautions that All Star took when it came to servicing a group of underage individuals.  They also had special drivers for this, gentlemen that knew how to handle large groups of young men and women and who knew how to check bags and make sure that the kids had fun but were well behaved.

The Journey Part V

One day as John was coming down the stairs at JFK he was greeted by the smile of an old friend.  It was the gentleman that had driven him and Mary the day of their wedding and picked them up from the airport after their honeymoon.  John looked at the man as if he had just ran in to an old friend, a little greyer and a touch slower the gentleman was no less efficient and insisted on carrying John’s bags even though he was at least twenty years his senior.  The two walked to the town car parked right in front of the terminal and talked about old times, and even though it had been almost ten years it was if they had seen each other yesterday.  They spoke about John’s prospering career and family and the chauffeur told John about his own children and the joy of grandchildren. When the gentleman dropped John off at his door the two hugged and promised it would not be so long until they spoke again.

That next holiday season John and Mary received a Christmas card from their chauffeur, for even though they were sure he had pleased many clients, they affectionately referred to him as theirs.  They in turn sent him a gift and a picture of their beautiful family; this included the most recent addition, a baby boy.

A few years later John had a bit of grey of his own and had made partner at his firm.  Every year he made sure he sent gifts and baskets to the staff at All Star and special gifts for his chauffeur who he requested almost every time he needed to travel.  The relationship between the two grew beyond that and on occasion the chauffeur and his wife would join John and Mary for dinner, most usually this occurred around the holiday season or near the time of John and Mary’s anniversary.

When the occasion called for it they ordered their stretch limousines and had dinner in the city.  The young couple had made their fortune and they treated each other and them selves well. Any time they needed anything All Star Limousine was there for them.  When going out east to the vineyards not only did All Star arrange the transportation but they planned and scheduled the entire day, even going so far as to make the reservations at each vineyard and have lunch delivered.

When they went into the city All Star made the reservations and even made suggestions.  On more then one occasion teh event staff made the reservations and called in favors to make sure they got the times and seats that they wanted.

The Journey Part IV

John and Mary had a life filled with joy and fortune.  John got a promotion not long after their wedding and seemed to climb the corporate ladder effortlessly.  Four years after the wedding their beautiful daughter was born.  John had to work more and more, and when it became necessary for him to travel he knew just the company, All Star Limousine.  What John had not realized was that All Star was an international car service, a company that could pick him up and take him to JFK airport and a company that could meet him at Chicago’s O’Hare and take him wherever he needed to go in the Windy City.

If it could be possible the executive car service that John received was even better then the service they received on their wedding day.  It was not that the vehicles or the drivers were any better, it was that John now had other car services he could compare to, his company had several of them that he had been forced to choose from prior to his latest promotion.  The ride to and from the airport was so good and so much better then previous experiences that John recommended All Star Limousine to his boss and his co-workers, and it was not long before the entire company switched over to All Star Limousine Worldwide.

The drivers were better trained, more familiar with the areas that they serviced, better dressed and seemed to exercise a greater emotional intelligence as compared to previous chauffeurs from other organizations.  They just presented a higher level of polish and refinement.  The part that impressed John the most was the consistency of service, no matter where he traveled the cars were always immaculate the drivers always the most professional.  It was truly impressive that All Star could provide such a high end and uniform service so consistently.

Never did All Star falter, never did they fail.  Even in extreme weather conditions or with last minute flight changes or cancelations, John always knew he could count on All Star to be there on time and to get him to his destination safely.
