Most people, when they think of a luxury limousine service or an executive car service, view the service from the perspective of a customer.  In other words they think along the lines of I’m paying a large sum of money simply for a ride and with that thought they do not understand the large margin of error involved in luxury transportation.  The simple reality is that there is a lot that can go wrong when dealing with a limousine company or an executive car service.  Now we do not want to give you the wrong impression about All Star Limousine we want to bring to the attention of prospective clients two things; one the amount of work and effort it takes to run a proper car service and two beware companies that are not operating at optimum efficiency.

 

When I say that there is a large margin for error in the limousine industry I mean that there is a lot that can potentially go wrong with your car service.  Again this is not an effort to scare, merely an attempt to inform.  Clients beware because the problems can start from the very beginning make sure to be very detailed when placing your order, human error can mess you up right off the bat with a reservation being taken down incorrectly.   Aside from being diligent and doing your homework in regards to car service proper communication is really the only thing you have control over.  The potential for problems unfortunately does not stop there.  A company must employ a mechanic and ideally a detailer who will perform regular preventative maintenance on a vehicle, this will help to insure no mechanical failure the day of your trip.  Also along those lines a company should have some type of turnaround time, if not a very quick one, this will mean that the company in question is replacing their vehicles regularly, and of course a newer vehicle will run much better then one that is ten years old.  Then you have the chauffeurs, the gentlemen that will be doing the actual driving, these men and women should be vetted, tried and tested, their jobs are incredibly important.  The drivers for an executive car service or limousine company perhaps hold the single most important position, the reputation of the business and the very life of the client rest in their hands.  If these individuals are not trained and properly screened then the company employing them is taking a tremendous risk.

 

Unfortunately the limousine and executive car industry is not properly regulated, their exists multiple loop holes and grey areas that are constantly taken advantage of by improperly run companies and services.  This fact is in part what has lent a bit of a bad name to the industry itself.  That is not to say do not use an executive car service just make sure you use the right one.  Some things to watch out for are very small or low priced companies, these companies may not have the proper insurance and with a low price point they may not be putting the right amount of money back into their company so as to insure proper service.  Another potential red flag is a company that does not own its fleet, beware third party companies who sub contract or “farm out” their work.  It is unfortunately common practice in our industry and you will often find companies that are advertising vehicles they do not own or who have no equipment of their own and sub their work out to the lowest bidder.  Black car services like Uber are a good example of a low priced company that does not carry proper insurance.  Convenient and fast yes, but also dangerous and unpredictable, you never know what or who is picking you up or if they are safe and reliable.

 

Please understand that this is by no means an attempt to scare but an attempt to bring awareness to the customer base.  Most users, and understandably so, are not privy to the inner machinations of the limousine industry (and why or how would you be unless you worked for one), we want to let our own customers and our potential future customers know what we do and how we do it.  We also want to dispel the dark stigma this industry has attained.  All Star Limousine is a proper and professional international executive car service and we care about our cliental.  We are on time every time and when we pick you up we will never let you down.

The Results of a Great Office Culture


 

 

Everyone wants to have a job where they wake up and don’t dread heading into the office.  It is truly a wonderful thing when you can actually enjoy going to work and to really care about the people you work with and for.  Having a positive and encouraging work atmosphere, in addition to building morale, can have some amazing side effects.  Some examples are creative thinking, more emphasis on recruitment and retention of employees and the best brand ambassadors a company could hope for.

 

When you have a positive and good office culture people want to work there, they genuinely care about the company.  This thought process encourages employees to think often about how to improve the company.  This type of environment also gives them the impression that it’s ok to express their thoughts and ideas and in fact that it is welcome (as well it should be).  The best business growth comes from throwing it all into the pot and letting everyone’s ideas be heard.  You never know who will come up with the next big innovation, people’s perspectives differ tremendously and some have a way of looking at things in a way that would never be expected.

 

Working at a fun place where people actually and genuinely care about one another will build you the best (and cheapest) gorilla marketing team imaginable.  Your own employees will speak highly about their place of business to their friend’s and family and across their networking and social media platforms.  They will spread the word about what a great place they work at and it will give the impression that they also offer a great service or product without even saying that they do or don’t.  It will also help tremendously with branding and product recognition.

 

When recruiting and hiring those that are brought in will be scrutinized more carefully.  They will be judged by not only their performance capacity but for their ability to be part of the team or family.  This may not seem important when it comes to the ability to get the job done but there is nothing more productive then a happy work force, especially one that gels or is really in touch with itself.  When team members pick up the slack of a co-worker who is under the gun or has fallen behind without even being asked to, it is a beautiful thing.  This will help the wheels of the company to turn fluently and continuously with out ever missing a beat.

 

Ultimately a positive office culture will yield tremendous results.  Weather it be branding, optimizing your work force or just getting the most out of your people, creating a nice place to work is paramount to building a successful company.

Oheka Castle

Oheka Castle, located in Huntington New York, may quite possibly be the most beautiful catering hall on Long Island.  Originally built by Otto Kahn between the years 1914 and 1919, Oheka Castle (also know as the Otto Kahn Estate), was and remains the second largest private home in the United States.  Originally comprised of 127 rooms spread throughout a 109,000 foot steel and brick construction upon a sprawling compound spanning 443 acres Oheka Castle is not only beautiful but massive.

 

The history behind the construction of such an incredible estate is an interesting one.  Otto Kahn a well-known financier and philanthropist lost his original home in Morristown New Jersey to a horrific fire.  He constructed Oheka Castle with the idea of building a completely fireproof and secure home, he was successful in creating one of the first totally fireproof residential buildings in the world.  After his death in 1934 the Otto Kahn Estate changed hands many times until in 1984 visionary developer Gary Melius purchased and began the harrowing process of restoring the Castle to its former grandeur.

 

Melius ultimately was hugely successful in developing one of the most prestigious wedding venues in the world.  Oheka Castle, in addition to being featured in several movies and TV shows, is one of the most popular celebration locations internationally.  The renown and history of this location is rich and magnificent.  It is a true honor to be part of their bridal show and to be able to work along side such a wonderful and professional staff within such an incredible and grand facility.

 

Oheka Castel is beautiful, magnificent and over all unbelievable.  There are very few locations that can match the castle.  The grounds are stunning, the structure itself is incomparable, and the history and prestige of Oheka Castle is fantastic and rich.  The venue is worth every penny it charges and is truly one of the most incredible catering halls not only on Long Island but in the world.
